More than 20 AKC dog clubs in the San Diego area have worked hard with AKC Reunite to raise over $80,000 and bring four AKC Pet Disaster Relief trailers to their community. The most recent trailer was donated last week in Chula Vista, California, and now each local animal shelter has this important tool at their disposal in the event of an emergency.

San Antonio Kennel Club members recently attended a ribbon cutting in celebration of their upcoming AKC dog shows. The event was sponsored by the Kerrville Chamber of Commerce to promote the first AKC all breed dog shows to be held in the Texas hill country.

A pitch is a less formal way to seek coverage and is an ideal alternative to a press release for ongoing topics not tied to specific events (such as therapy dogs, how puppy buyers can find a responsible breeder, etc). This is a great way to approach media outlets that have longer lead times.
