The AKC has continued its support of students pursuing veterinary studies by awarding the 2016 AKC/American Veterinary Medical Foundation (AVMF) Veterinary Scholarship and eight AKC Veterinary Scholarships.

The Coeur d’Alene Dog Fanciers recently presented the Coeur d’Alene Police Department’s K9 unit with two bullet and stab-protective vests. Club members decided to make this donation in appreciation of their heroic dogs and the service they provide the community.

Woofstock is a 4 day show created by the Contra Costa County Kennel Club and the Yosemite Kennel Club where exhibitors and fellow dog lovers can enjoy a weekend filled with peace, music and dogs. Everyone at Woofstock is encouraged to dress up in their favorite hippie clothes, which only makes the weekend that much more fun. Main attractions of this cluster include plenty of specialties, opportunities for majors, and the always entertaining costume competition!
