Fall is upon us and end of the year events!
The Junior Recognition Program has launched and AKC will be offering the Junior Versatility Award for the Top Ten Juniors. The Top Junior competing in three AKC events will receive a $1,000 Scholarship, Runner up will receive a $500 Scholarship and third place will receive a $250 Scholarship. The dates of participation for these awards for this year are March 1, 2017 – October 11, 2017. We look forward to announcing the winners of the first-year Junior Versatility Scholarships. Dates for the Junior Versatility Award for 2018 will be: July 1, 2017 – June 30, 2018.
Staff has attended several State Level 4H Competition and look forward to additional engagement with the 4H community in 2018. If you are involved with 4H and have not heard from us, please provide your contact information.
The eligibility period for the AKC National Championship Junior Competition is upon us. Please get your transcripts and permission slips in as entries close on for conformation and Junior Showmanship. ENTRIES CLOSE AT ONOFRIO SUPERINTENDENT’S OFFICE AT 3:00 P.M. (CST), WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 15, 2017.
Also, remember that closing date for the Westminster Kennel Club show is Friday, December 1, 2017.
You are reminded that eligibility to apply for the AKC Junior Scholarship requires membership in an AKC Event. |
